You might be interested in this online commentary "Putting God on Trial: The Biblical Book of Job" (http://www.bookofjob.org) as supplementary or background material for your study of the Book of Job. It is written by a Canadian criminal defense lawyer, now a Crown prosecutor, and it explores the legal and moral dynamics of the Book of Job with particular emphasis on the distinction between causal responsibility and moral blameworthiness embedded in Job’s Oath of Innocence. It is highly praised by Job scholars (Clines, Janzen, Habel) and the Review of Biblical Literature, all of whose reviews are on the website. The author is an evangelical Christian, denominationally Anglican. He is also the Canadian Director for the Mortimer J. Adler Centre for the Study of the Great Ideas, a Chicago-based think tank.

If a Reformed man went to one of these things to protest and proclaim against it, and a Mohammedon suicide bomber showed up as a mediator for agreement of parties, both the liberal/ unbeliever and the Reformer would finally be in agreement, on opposite sides of the expanse between them, mind you. That God is just in the condemnation of the wicked.

Sometime it just takes tragedy to bring people together *sigh*...

Question 1: Does the burkha get in the way of celebrating eucharist?

Question 2: How can one be a submissive wife in Islam and a usurping feminist priest at the same time?

Question 3: If she was a he instead, and a Roman Catholic instead of an Episcopalian, when he martyred himself would he get 70 ever virgin Marys?

Question 4: What is the sound of one thunderbolt clapping?

Maybe she'll cut off her own head...

Folly's a sentimentalist too...

Causa Nostra (aka the mafia) minions receive FOF and TCP survey well. They have for a long time advocated these values: a good relationship with parents; next was relationships with friends as well as romantic relationships, and spirituality is the most important for them.

"Ya know," said Vinnie LaFollia, "this is landmark. I think there's actually hope now for acceptance of our families. For the longest time people have thought us a bunch of thugs that were the total opposite of what a family's supposed ta be. We Causa Nostra always take our thing seriously, and now these two outsidas tellus what we've been sayin all along. What do ya think 'bout that? We're normal."
